Student Philanthropy in Colleges and Universities

Resources from the Mayerson Student Philanthropy Project at the Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement at Northern Kentucky University. This program started in 1999 as a way to teach college students about nonprofits and philanthropy.

An article titled "Student Philanthropy in Colleges and Universities" was published by Jennifer Millisor and Julie Cencula Olberding, both of Northern Kentucky University, appeared in Academic Exchange Quarterly, Winter 2009. This study identifies student philanthropy programs and cources at 43 colleges and universities in the United States.

Student Philanthropy Faculty Handbook was published by the Northern Kentucky University’s Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement in July 2010 and is widely used across college campuses on the subject of philanthropy.
