Dr. Sarna presents a timeline of
modern Jewish history, indicating moments when young people mobilized
for change. These young leaders’ activism is not short-lived. As youth
leaders grow up, Dr. Sarna noted, they “knit communities together for
years and years” and continue to hold the reins, remaining leaders of
the Jewish community throughout their lives.
