Foundation Simulation

This is a simulation program for running an excellerated teen foundation to practice grantmaking. This resources includes a complete program guide, a list of characters for the teens to portray, and descriptions of fictional foundations and non-profit organizations.

This program was originally designed as a Saturday night activity for the first annual Western Massachusetts B’nai Tzedek Shabbaton in December 2003. The program was developed by Rabbi Jonathan Spira-Savett, K’vod Weider and Sue Schwartzman. This editing of the program was written by Gabe Salgado for the 2005 San Francisco Bay Area Regional Teen Philanthropy Retreat, as part of the the Jewish Teen Foundations of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties, San Francisco.
