Maurice Saltzman Youth Panel
The Saltzman Youth Panel, a program of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, educates students within our Jewish community about the importance of philanthropy and how our community addresses and responds to community needs. Each year, the Saltzman Youth Panel is comprised of 40 area high school juniors and seniors from different Jewish backgrounds. Together they decide how to allocate $50,000 in grants to worthy organizations – 85% of which is awarded to programs serving the Jewish community. Through this process, panelists learn about community decision-making, leadership, and most importantly, tzedakah.
