Yavneh Day School Seventh Grade Fund
There isn’t enough money to help everyone; How can I make a difference? Students will be exposed to the concept of tzedakah - the obligation to do justice where unfairness or oppression exists. They will examine various models of philanthropy as tzedakah including individual/corporate foundation giving, micro-lending, grants and infrastructure investment. They will learn about the concept of allocation of limited resources and conduct a real allocations process to deliver funds to various social institutions chosen and advocated for by the students.
