Site visits have the unique ability to bring the grantmaking process to life for teens. Sarah Indyk, Philanthropic Initiatives Manager at Rose Community Foundation, will share her experiences facilitating site visits for Rose Youth Foundation. Sarah will highlight the value of site visits, challenges to overcome, and strategies for incorporating site visits into your program. She will address how to prepare your teens, work with non-profits, the mechanics of the visit, and ways to debrief the site visit experience.
Presenter Bio: Sarah Indyk works at Rose Community Foundation in Denver, Colorado, where she oversees efforts to engage people in meaningful, intentional collaborative philanthropy. Part of her portfolio is managing Rose Youth Foundation, one of the longest-running Jewish youth philanthropy program in the country, twice recognized by Slingshot: A Resource Guide to Jewish Innovation. Sarah majored in American Studies and graduated with distinction from Yale University. She is a member of the ROI Community.
