Best Practices

Last June, over 45 practitioners of Jewish Teen Philanthropy gathered together at the JTFN Conference to define the term “Best Practice.”

They found that Best Practice isn’t really about something being the “best and only way” but that it is a process and product of collaboration, networking, challenging assumptions, investigation, and common voices that run throughout the field. This document reflects the lessons learned, expertise, evaluation, theory, research and passion these participants and the field offers.

As a working document, this report that they created will offer: overarching ideas, practical application concepts, pitfalls to avoid, implementation suggestions, strategies, and guiding beliefs to help inform your decision-making.

Whether you are a seasoned professional in the field or just looking to begin your first youth philanthropy project, we hope that this information will help in your on-going visioning, program improvement, and assessment. And--we hope that you will contribute to its on-going development and revision.
